If You’re Really Bent On Making Money On Google This Can Help

If you’ve got an online business, you’re probably already looking for a way to get more customers.  There are a few ways to get word out about your website – to spread the word across the internet, far and wide.  One thing is for certain, though.  If you’re trying to get your advertising done for free, it’s not going to get you very far.  This is why you don’t submit to Google.

Google Submit is a program that will let you submit your website for Google to put your site on their result pages.  The basic idea is that once your page is onto the Google search engine, it’ll attract the attention of hundreds of eager searchers.  The problem with this idea is that it assumes you’re actually going to get a spot of importance in those results.  Google has no real reason to post your site anywhere where it will actually be seen – and they’ll probably take their good ol’ time in getting your site up, anyway.

If you really want your site to get any attention, you’ll want a good, popular site that lots of people will post links to.  These links are the way the web crawler (the GoogleBot) finds and ranks your site in order of importance.  If your site has a lot of these links, the GoogleBot will find you without your help, and you’ll get a pretty good spot in the result pages.

If you’re really bent on making money on Google, you still can – but you’ll probably have to use a paid program like AdWords, Google’s advertising program.  With this program, you can do your advertising with Google, who will match your site to relevant search queries and post ads on its search result sidebars.  This means you’ve got a good target audience – one that’s already searching for you.
