Mountain Bikes

Mountain bikes are the class in themselves. Normal bikes are for the use on normal terrains and normal roads while mountain bikes are for those who possess the heart of lion. I said heart of lion because mountain bike is not for anyone and not for any normal roads it is specially made for tough and rigid terrains. It posses the strength of an elephant to win the top of mountains. Only a single ride on mountain bike will tell you the story behind it and also introduce you the strength of it. Many people search for the difference between the boys mountain bike and girl mountain bike while the truth is there is no such structural difference, both are alike and can be used by both but we can make some design difference for the girl mountain bike.

Mountain bike is all about the strength and the stability. Mountains are not the roads you want to ride on normally and it’s extremely difficult to ride a bike on them. It requires great strength in bike as well as biker to pass a mountain on a bike. It doesnt matter if you have a boy bike or a girl bike mountain will remain the same.

Mountain bikes are made of special purpose frame which can sustain the pressure of the differential terrain for a long time and also keep the balance intak for the biker. Mountain bikes other most important part is the suspension, you can imagine how much bumps the bike should be receiving in a trip, and suspension should take all in and give nothing to the biker. The suspension should be flexible enough to change or set according to the bikers need. The structural design of the bike is also very important as the pressure on the bike needs to be spread along all the frame and not on a single part of the frame.

Where to Find Inspirational Softball Quotes

Softball is a sport that has been around for over 120 years. Named indoor baseball when it was invented, the idea was for it to be an easier form of baseball which baseball players could play in the winter to keep sharp and in shape. Softball is played on a smaller field than baseball, with larger, softer balls that are pitched underhanded. This sport has gained tremendously in popularity since it first began, but it has always remained more of a casual, minor-league type of sport than baseball, played largely by children who are not top-notch athletes. For most people, their experience with softball involves only being an occasional spectator, but also actually playing it themselves or taking their kids to practice and matches.

Softball most resembles baseball in the version called fastpitch or fastpitch softball, in which the ball is thrown quite fast using a wind milling path with the throwing arm. This version is the most competitive, is played largely by women, and was featured in the Olympic games. Still, the main point is usually to enjoy playing and bonding with teammates rather than competition. For this reason, fastpitch coaches need to appeal to the emotions more to motivate teams. One good way to do this is to have a good store of inspirational fastpitch softball quotes, stories and sayings on hand. The best way to find them these days is to use the Internet.

If you use a search engine such as Bing or Google and use a search phrase such as “softball quotes or sayings” you will come up with a lot of useful websites. You should look at least ten of them, and at each site you should check out their links to other sites as well. One good website for fastpitch softball quotes and sayings is softballquotes.net, which has some funny as well as serious material. Another good one is softball-quotes.com, which also has some useful softball cheers. Print out the best stories, sayings, and quotes that you find.

Texas Tech: Fixing what is not broken

New Texas Tech Head Coach Tommy Tuberville is installing new schemes on offense and defense in hopes of fixing the Texas Tech Football Team. The problem is that the team really isn’t broken. The common perception about Texas Tech is that they have a high powered offense and a terrible defense. The perception that the offense is very good is true. The perception that the Tech defense is horrible is false.

Since Tommy Tuberville arrived in Lubbock, the media has played up the fact that he is a defensive coach and will fix the Tech defense. Coach Tuberville is an outstanding coach and no doubt he and new defensive coordinator James Willis will eventually improve the Tech defense. Of course the Tech defense had already been improving over the past couple of years, so continued improvement would have been expected, even under former coach Mike Leach’s staff.

Here are the basic numbers on the Tech defense for the 2009 season. Out of 120 teams, Texas Tech ranked 49th in total defense and 41st in scoring defense, giving up 22.46 points a game. Those are not great numbers but they are not horrible either. That is especially true when how much time the defense spent on the field was taken into account as well as the fact the Tech plays in an extremely offense oriented Big 12. Except for the Texas A&M game, in which just about everyone on the team played horribly, the defense was not the reason that Texas Tech lost any football games in 2009. In fact the defense played its best football down the stretch in 2009.

The offense really does not need any help. In 2009 the Texas Tech Football team suffered through a series of quarterback injuries and had to start the 3rd string quarterback against Kansas. Even so, Tech has another good offensive year. They ranked 2nd in passing offense, 4th in total offense, and 7th in scoring offense at 37 points a game under Mike Leach.

There is an old saying, “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”. Despite that saying, Tommy Tuberville is going to try and fix a football team that won nine games last season in a rebuilding year. Hopefully, he and his staff know what they are doing. Red Raider Nation will be watching.

Golf Car Accessories

Golf season is here and everyone is thinking about sprucing up thier golf car. What is a need and what is a must? In the world of golf car accessories I would start with safety.

Seat belt brackets with retractable belts will keep you and your partner safe or maybe a armrest cushion with a cupholder. Now, you can’t forget your GPS device. If GPS is not for you, they now have a 3 in 1 clock, compass, and thermometer combination. This will keep you on the right track, however you still might want to invest into a cell phone holder just in case you need to call home and let them know your running late.  You don’t need to purchase a luxury golf cart to have the envy of your country club.

If you need to quench your thist, your in luck. They now have a rear facing bracket to hold your cooler. Some of you might opt for a 6 pack cooler or the 12 pack version. The 12 pack version would be big enough for drinks and some snacks.

If you love to golf in any weather, and your looking for the perfect golf car accessorie you might want to invest into a heater. They come in propane or electric and seem to have easy instructions for those of you who are pressed on time. Now if this seems like too much of an investment, try a heated steering wheel cover. This will keep your hands warm and it wont take up as much floor space as the heater.

Once your ready to roll, your buckled in, cell phone is secure, hands are warm and you know where your going, Look into the perfect golf car accessorie, a overhead am/fm, cd player. This is a perk for you and your partner. Just in case he is losing and he doesnt want to talk.

When coming upon other golfers, use your bugle horn to let them know your coming, and then give them a smile and a nod in your sporty sideview miror when you leave. Now you have a car with all of the golf car accessories any man could want. Enjoy the game.
